“Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.” Matthew 28:5. (NLT)

“Come, see where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” Matthew 28: 6 (NLT)
Praise God, Jesus rose from the grave! He has risen! He is not dead! The Resurrection of Jesus is central to the Christian faith. Because of the resurrection of Christ, our resurrection is certain. Because Christ rose from the dead as He promised, we know that what He said is true! He is the risen Christ. Because He rose from the grave, we can be certain that our sins are forgiven. Because He rose from the grave, He lives and represents us to God. Because He rose and defeated death, we can be assured that we will also be raised.
What does the resurrection of Jesus mean to you? Because Jesus rose from the grave with all power, you can be assured that He will do all that He has promised, and we will live with HIM forever!

Because of the Resurrection, you can:
♦ be confident, that He will accomplish all He has promised in your life.
♦ be assured that you can trust in His Word.
♦ stand on the Word of God knowing that His bodily resurrection demonstrates that He is the risen, living Christ and the ruler of the kingdom of God.
♦ know that Jesus is the true and living God and, not a false prophet or impostor.
♦ be certain of your resurrection because He was resurrected, and death is not the end, and we Believers in Christ will have eternal life with HIM!
♦ be absolutely sure that the power that brought Jesus back to life is available to you to bring your spiritually dead life, to life.
One of the things from Scripture that is so awesome is that our resurrected bodies will be eternal, and we will be recognized in our resurrected bodies! WOW! Now if you could choose your own body, what would it look like? Just asking! Scripture does not reveal everything that our resurrected body will be able to do, however, we know they will be glorified bodies, perfect, without sickness or disease! I am sure whatever our all-powerful and wise God will design, I know it will be more than I can imagine. The apostle Paul says in Philippians 3:21, “Who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables Him even to subject all things to Himself.” (ESV) We will still have our own personality and individuality, but these will be perfected through Christ’s work.
The Resurrection of Jesus was the essential aspect of God’s plan to allow us to spend eternity with Him. Because Jesus was raised from the dead with a new body, we can be assured that He has the power over death and that we, too, will be resurrected one day with new bodies and live forever with Him in heaven.

HEART 1 Corinthians 15:12-14. “Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.” (ESV) If Christ had not defeated death there would be no hope for you or me. The fact that Christ did get up from the dead is the central message and purpose of Jesus.
FATHER GOD: Thank You for keeping Your Word! Because You rose, we have certainty that our sins are forgiven. Because You rose and defeated death, we know we will also be raised, in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen.
