The Heartbeat of Thankfulness

November 21, 2020

“Now may the God of peace make you HOLY in every way and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for He who calls you is faithful.”

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NLT

“For it is written: “Be HOLY because I am HOLY.”

1 Peter 1:16. NLT

Have you asked yourself these questions? As a Christian, what is God’s purpose for my life? Am I walking in freedom and purpose?  Am I living a Holy Life? The Word of God is very clear, God desires that we live HOLY lives.

Many Believers in Christ today are not walking in purpose and freedom, experiencing the full benefits of their relationship with Christ.  Many are struggling and need to be set free from all the hindrances that keep them from accessing all the benefits God designed for them.

Last weekend I had the privilege of speaking at a Bible Symposium on the topic, “Do You Want To Be Made Whole”.  I was challenged in the process of my study in preparation for my presentation.

Being made WHOLE includes being WHOLE in EVERY ASPECT of our lives Physically, Psychologically, (Emotional-Mentally), Socially (Relationally) Financially and Spiritually. God has designed it that way. You cannot live a HOLY Life without being WHOLE!

In creation, the Creator designed us WHOLE, Mind, Body, and Spirit. We were marred by sin, and we must be healed and made whole in the way we were designed. Over the years working as a Nurse, I begin to see patients differently not only as physically sick human beings I begin to see them Relationally, Emotionally, and even Spiritually! I saw them more than a group of organs, held and supported by bones and connective tissue but as a WHOLE! I saw them as BODIES; with a SOUL and having a SPIRIT.

I am grateful that God has allowed me to experience and witness His awesome creation and be able to integrate it into what I am doing now in ministry.  I have learned that you cannot touch the Heart (soul and spirit) of sick and hurting individuals without understanding their Personal Relationships! You may ask, what do RELATIONSHIPS have to do with anything? I Believe the Process of Healing and WHOLENESS is all about Relationships: Our relationship with God ~ is it a spiritual life with the Creator or a life of spiritual death?   Our relationship with ourselves and others.  Are you healthy emotionally or do you have a sickness of the soul, mind, and heart? Our relationship with the world.

Who we are and everything we do and say flows from the condition of our HEART and it affects our EMOTIONAL and PHYSICAL health and is directly related to the condition of our HEART (Soul and Spirit).

God’s Design is for a life of WHOLENESS in Jesus.  Mark 5:25-34 is an example of God’s Healing Power, Physically, Psychologically, Socially, Financially, and Spiritually. Thank God for His Healing Power.

RX: A WHOLE HEART  Throughout The Bible, God uses our Human Bodies metaphorically and shows us that we are sick spiritually and need to be healed!     Proverbs 6:12-19. “There are six things that the LORD hates, even seven that are disgusting to Him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill innocent people, a mind devising wicked plans, feet that are quick to do wrong, a dishonest witness spitting out lies, and a person who spreads conflict among relatives. (GW).  The Body is Sick, but our God is a HEALER!

FATHER GOD: Thank You Father Psalm 107:20 sending us Your WORD to HEAL us, and delivering us from destruction, in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen!
