“For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen. Do you keep a “to-do” list of things you plan or need to accomplish each day, week, or month? Our “to-do” list brings purpose and meaning to our lives. It helps to keep us focused on what we would like to accomplish.”
Romans 11:36

Since I retired, there are days when I am busier than when I was working.
I was once asked in a group setting, “if you could reduce your entire life to only three or four items, what would they be? Interestingly, the top item on your list would come remarkably close to identifying the purpose of your life.
What gives your life purpose and direction? Have you ever asked God, “why am I here? Yes, I must say there are some people who believe we are hereby an impersonal, evolutionary process and that life is just an accident. If that is the case, then there would be no real reason for why we are here, and our lives would have no immediate or ultimate purpose.
A noted theologian stated, ‘PURPOSE’ is when you know and understand what you were born to accomplish.”
The Bible is very clear on why you were created! Our purpose is to be inspired by a vision as to how God can use us in accomplishing HIS purposes.
The purpose of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We glorify God by fearing and obeying Him, keeping our eyes on our future home in heaven, and knowing Him intimately. We enjoy God by following His purpose for our lives, which enables us to experience true and lasting joy—the abundant life that He desires for us.
Our divine purpose in life, as God originally created man, is to:
1. Glorify God and enjoy fellowship with Him forever.
2. Obeying God.
3. Have good relationships with others,
4. Work and have dominion over the earth
5. Fellowship with God! With man’s fall into sin, fellowship with God was broken, relationships with others are strained. Only by restoring fellowship with God, through faith in Jesus Christ, can purpose in life be rediscovered.

Psalm 40:8. “I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.” (NIV)
Meaning in life comes from obeying God and doing his will.
FATHER GOD: Thank You for being a God of Purpose. Help us to always be obedient to Your will which brings purpose and meaning in our lives, in the Precious, Powerful, and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen
