The Heartbeat of Gift Giving

  December 13, 2020

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”  2 Corinthians 9:15 (NKJV)

“Thank God for this gift, his gift. No language can praise it enough!”

2 Corinthians 9:15 (MSG)

This is a time of year when many are buying gifts, have purchased gifts, and considering buying gifts for friends and love ones.  For many, this is a special time of the year for family fellowship giving and exchange of gifts. For many, this will not be the case.  In the midst of this holiday season, for many, especially this Christmas season will not be as other holidays.  Many have lost their jobs, homes and many have lost their lives.  There will be empty homes, empty chairs at the table, and no gifts to share or exchange.

Reviewing some of the recent statistics; there are 40% of adults in the united states suffering from some type of mental disorder and or substance abuse and domestic abuse. There are over 40 million people struggling with some form of anxiety disorder, 17 % suffering from depression there are 30 million eating disorders, and some 6.8 million suffering from some form of frustration, pain, hurt, and loss.  This has been a year for many of unprecedented suffering and loss!

The good news, God is the best Gift-Giver, and He is the only one that can give a lasting Gift-Exchange! Many turn to all sorts of things to cope with the pain and hurts of life.  Some turn to substances, over-eating, shopping, and filling our lives with stuff other detrimental coping mechanisms to avoid surrendering to God when has all we need.  God says, here I am, and I have a GIFT for you!

♥️ Give Me your Pain and I will give you My Peace

♥️ Give Me your Hurt and I will give you My Healing

♥️ Give Me your Unforgiveness and I will give you My Joy

♥️ Give Me your Anxieties, Disappointments, Frustrations, Losses, sufferings, and abuse, I will give you My Comfort.

Bring ALL to the Father and He will give you whatever you need!  He is the Master-Giver, and He will make the exchange. He gives sacrificially unselfishly, graciously, and abundantly beyond imagination and without the threat of rescinding. His gifts are “forever gifts!”

RX: A GIVING ♥️ HEART

John 3:16. God so loved the world that he gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

2 Corinthians 9:15 Thank God for His Son a gift too wonderful for words!

FATHER GOD: Thank You for being an awesome Gift-Giver. Help us to always remember Your Greatest Gift, Your sacrifice of Your Son so we could have eternal life in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen!
