“But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7.

This past weekend we celebrated our father’s 98th birthday in Texas! It was a blessed time of fellowship and laughter and sharing of many memories! We are so thankful and blessed to God, that He has given us one more year to be with him. No distance or even the flying conditions with COVID was going to keep my brother Michael, my daughter Portia and myself from being here with our father on his special day! After suddenly losing my husband, I am fully aware that our next breath or heartbeat is not promised!
From the time of our father’s arrival to our brother John’s home, he was a ball of laughter, teasing everyone in his presence. At this point our father has some difficulties with current or present events but, he has an amazing long-term memory.
My brother Michael has been working on our family tree for almost 10 years, our father was able to fill in some of the names in the early 1900! AMAZING!
The Word of God has a lot to say about Good Family and Christian Fellowship?
♥️ First, it is a Gift from God! The family is an institution created by God for the benefit of fellowship and stewardship over it.
♥️ A Good Christian Family is one that lines up with biblical principles and one in which each member understands and fulfills his or her God-given role. One of the primary principles of the family unit is that it involves a commitment that is ordained by God for the lifetime of the members.
God has given the responsibility of the husband and wife of holding the family together! However, this is not always the current attitude of our cultures.
♥️ When we neglect our Family and Christian Fellowship, it robs us of the encouragement and help which we derive from our Family and other believers. Our responsibility is to gather and share love and to strengthen one another in the Lord. Before Christ returns, we will face many spiritual struggles and even persecution; however, the support from family and friends will help us in navigating this journey called life. The truth of the matter ~ we need each other!
RX: A DEVOTED ♥️ HEART
“What we have seen and [ourselves] heard, we are also telling you, so that you too may realize and enjoy fellowship as partners and partakers with us. And [this] fellowship that we have [which is a distinguishing mark of Christians] are with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah).” 1 John 1:3 (AMP)

A Devoted Heart in the family structure in an ideal world will have all members committed to Christ and His service. There is Peace and Harmony in the family when all fulfill their God-appointed roles. The home will suffer when we try to do it (live victoriously) without Christ as the Head and without adhering to the biblical principles the Lord has lovingly provided for us.\
It is SIN that keeps us out of Fellowship!
FATHER GOD: Thank You for our families! Help us to always live up to Your divine guidelines and principles live, in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen!
