Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!” Isaiah 6:8. (NRSV)
“I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.” Psalms 40:8. (NRSV)
“I am holding you by your right hand-I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I am here to help you. Isaiah 41:13. (NLT)

Lord, I’m available to You
You gave me my hands to reach out to man
To show him Your love and Your perfect plan
You gave me my ears; I can hear Your voice so clear
I can hear the cries of sinners
But can I wipe away their tears?
You gave me my voice to speak Your Word
To sing all Your praises to those who never heard
But with my eyes, I see a need for more availability
I’ve seen the hearts that have been broken
So many people to be free
Lord, I’m available to You
My will I give to You
I’ll do what You say do
Use me Lord to show someone the way and enable me to say
My storage is empty, and I am available to You
Now I’m giving back to You all the tools You gave to me
My hands, my ears, my voice, my eyes
So You can use me as You please
I have emptied out my cup so that You can fill it up
Now I am free, I just want to be more available to You
Lord, I’m available to You
My will I give to You
I’ll do what You say do
Use me Lord to show someone the way and enable me to say
My storage is empty, and I am available to You

Rev. Milton Brunson
The Thompson Community Singers
Have you come across a song, and it truly ministered to your heart? The song I’m Available to You by the Rev. Milton Brunson and The Thompson Community Singers not only ministers to the heart, but it is also convicting. Being mindful of the fact that our next breath or heartbeat is not promised behooves each of us to be sure that we are completing our God-given assignments.
Lord, I’m available to You kept playing in my head causing me to ask the question, Lord, am I fully committed to God’s will for my life? Are you fully available to God? Are you walking in your Divine Purpose? God did not give His life for you to sit on the sidelines of life. When you give your life to God it is no longer your life. It must be a life of service! Are you sitting on your calling? Are you sitting on your divine assignment? Are you available to tell the world about Jesus? Are you available to be used by God?
Giving your heart to Jesus Christ, simply means that you have at least one gift and God expects you as His child to use that gift to carry out His assignment and bring glory to His Name. He has also given you the Holy Spirit to have the power to do what He has called you to do. God has made Himself available! So, no one has an excuse not to be available for service. He has given us everything we need to accomplish His will, and the way we live shows our eagerness to be used by Him.
WE HAVE

God Has Made Himself Available To Us?
God’s presence and help are available to us every moment and everywhere. He is always with us, always available to listen to us, pursuing us with His love.
Psalm 139:8-10. “If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.”
Matthew 28:20. “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Isaiah 41:10. “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”
Isaiah 43:2. “When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
Psalm 46:1. “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
God’s character is available to us. He extends His love, forgiveness, grace, mercy, and peace to us. When we let Him, His character molds our character.
Psalm 86:5. “O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid.”
2 John 1:3. “May grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God our Father and from Jesus Christ his Son, be with us who live in truth and love.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16. May the Lord of peace himself always give you his peace no matter what happens. The Lord be with you all.
God is available to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. He actually lives in us! God could choose to live on the farthest star, instead, He lives within us.
Romans 10:8. Salvation that comes from trusting Christ-which is the message we preach-is already within easy reach. In fact, the Scriptures say, “The message is close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.”
Ephesians 3:8. “Just think! Though I did nothing to deserve it, and though I am the least deserving Christian there is, I was chosen for this special joy of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.”
Colossians 1:27. “It has pleased God to tell his people that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. For this is the secret: Christ lives in you, and this is your assurance that you will share in his glory.”
Colossians 3:11. “In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.”
WHO SHOULD WE MAKE OURSELVES AVAILABLE TO?
We should be available to whomever and whatever God has called us to, even our enemies or those who defame our name. Available hands reflect an available heart.
Ruth 1:16. “Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. I will go wherever you go and live wherever you live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.”
Romans 12:13. When God’s children are in need, be the one to help them out. And get into the habit of inviting guests home for dinner or, if they need lodging, for the night.
Acts 15:35. Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch to assist many others who were teaching and preaching the word of the Lord there.
Proverbs 17:17. A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.
Exodus 23:5. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you struggling beneath a heavy load, do not walk by. Instead, stop and offer to help.
Matthew 25:45. He will answer, “I assure you, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.”
John 5:7. “I can’t, sir,” the sick man said, “for I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am trying to get there, someone else always gets in ahead of me.”
Galatians 2:10. The only thing they suggested was that we remember to help the poor, and I have certainly been eager to do that.
WHOM OR WHAT ARE WE NOT TO BE AVAILABLE?
When Christ lives within, we are no longer available to Satan and his evil, sinful ways.
Romans 14:8. “While we live, we live to please the Lord. And when we die, we go to be with the Lord. So, in life and in death, we belong to the Lord.”
John 10:29. “My Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from me.”
Romans 6:1-2. “Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more kindness and forgiveness? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?”
Romans 6:6-7. “Our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ, we were set free from the power of sin.”
Romans 6:11-12. “You should consider yourselves dead to sin and able to live for the glory of God through Christ Jesus. Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to its lustful desires.
Romans 6:14. “Sin is no longer your master, for you are no longer subject to the law, which enslaves you to sin. Instead, you are free by God’s grace.”
1 John 3:9. “Those who have been born into God’s family do not sin, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they have been born of God.”
1 John 5:18. “We know that those who have become part of God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot get his hands on them.”
HOW DO WE LET GOD KNOW THAT WE ARE AVAILABLE FOR HIS USE?
Our obedient response to God’s Word shows Him we are available to him.
Genesis 22:1. Later on, God tested Abraham’s faith and obedience. “Abraham!” God called. “Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.”
Exodus 3:4. “When the Lord saw that he had caught Moses’ attention, God called to him from the bush, “Moses! Moses!” “Here I am!” Moses replied.”
1 Samuel 3:10. “The Lord came and called as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel replied, “Yes, your servant is listening.”
Isaiah 6:8. “Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to my people? Who will go for us?” And I said, “Lord, I’ll go! Send me.”
Our desire for His will to be done shows our availability to Him. It demonstrates that His way is more important than ours.
1 Kings 8:23. He prayed, “O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven or earth. You keep your promises and show unfailing love to all who obey you and are eager to do your will.”
Psalm 40:8. “I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your law is written on my heart.”
Mark 14:36. “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine.”
The way we live shows our readiness to be used by HIM.
2 Timothy 2:21. “If you keep yourself pure, you will be a utensil God can use for his purpose. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.”
Serving Him faithfully and responsibly enables us to be used by Him more and more.
Luke 19:17, 26. “Well done!” the king exclaimed. “You are a trustworthy servant. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward.” . . . “Yes,” the king replied, “but to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who are unfaithful, even what little they have will be taken away.”
AN AVAILABLE
HEART: James 1:2-4. “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” (NLT) How we grow in Him and mature shows our readiness to be His person. When your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.
