” She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25 (NLT)
“ This is my command, strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NLT)

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers.
This Mother’s Day, I want to speak directly to the mothers who wear every hat. The mothers who are the provider, nurturer, counselor, protector, leader, disciplinarian, prayer warriors, and more. And still, you show up with love. That is not ordinary, it’s extraordinary. That is the courage and strength only God can supply.
To the strong and courageous mothers who are holding it all together, despite the difficulties and challenges you face. Those who are the heart of your home, the steady hand in chaos, and the quiet strength behind every success your children achieve.
This Mother’s Day, I honor you, especially those who, like I once did, carried the full weight of leading the household. After divorce and for over 20 years, that was my life. I walked that path, raising a son and daughter, paying bills, praying through tears, and holding the family together with grace I didn’t even know I had. I know the sleepless nights, the whispered prayers, the quiet tears, and the relentless hope it takes to raise a family when so much rests on your shoulders. I didn’t always feel strong, but God was my strength, and He will be yours, too.
You are not forgotten. You are not invisible. You are not alone. To every mother carrying the full weight of the home, I want you to hear this: God sees you, God is with you, and God is for you.
“There is no role in life more essential and more eternal than that of motherhood.” – M. Russell Ballard
Here are Eight Biblical Truths to Hold onto Today and Every Day: Being the head of the household is no easy role. It calls for wisdom, endurance, and unshakable faith. And yet, you rise. Every day, you rise with grace, grit, and the kind of love that sacrifices and still finds a reason to smile. God sees you and honors your labor of love. You may feel unseen at times, but heaven is cheering you on, and so am I. I want to encourage you from the Word of God, which kept me anchored in the midst of my journey.
Some Biblical Principles to Encourage You in Your Journey:
God is Your Provider ~ Jehovah Jireh: When you feel the weight of being the sole provider, remember that God promises to supply every need. Philippians 4:19: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
You Are Never Alone ~ God Is With You: You may feel alone at times, but God’s presence never leaves you. Zephaniah 3:17: “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.”
God Sees You ~ El Roi, The God Who Sees: Just like He saw Hagar in the wilderness, God sees your struggles and your faithfulness. Genesis 16:13: “She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me.’”
Your Labor Is Not in Vain: The long nights, the sacrifices, the prayers, they all matter to God. Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
God Will Be a Father to Your Children: When a father is absent, God steps in with His perfect love. Psalm 68:5: “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”
Wisdom and Strength Are Yours to Ask For: You don’t have to have all the answers—just ask. James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God… and it will be given to you.”
God Has a Purpose in Your Pain: Even the difficult parts of your journey are shaping something beautiful. Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.”
Your Children Are Blessed Because of You: Your faith creates a legacy that impacts generations. Psalm 102:28: “The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”
Again, you are not forgotten. You are not invisible. You are not alone. You Are Seen, Strengthened & Sustained!
YOUR HEART CHALLENGE: The Responsibilities of a MOTHER!
A mother should be a woman with great faith in God, which can become a great heritage for her family. 2 Timothy 1:5: “I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.” (NLT)
A mother should love her children. Proverbs 4:3: “For I, too, was once my father’s son, tenderly loved by my mother as an only child.” (NLT)
A mother should lead her children to Jesus. Luke 18:15: One day, some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch them and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him. (NLT)
A wise mother disciplines her children with the same loving hand the Lord shows to her. Deuteronomy 8:5. You should realize that just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you to help you.
A mother teaches her children God’s way. Proverbs 1:8: “My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction.“(NLT)
A mother comforts her children. Isaiah 66:12-13: “This is what the Lord says: ‘I will give Jerusalem a river of peace and prosperity. The wealth of the nations will flow to her. Her children will be nursed at her breasts, carried in her arms, and held on her lap. I will comfort you there in Jerusalem as a mother comforts her child.” (NLT)
A mother raises her children to become mature and independent young people. Mark 10:7: This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is. A mother raises her children to become mature and independent young people. (NLT)
A STRONG & COURAGEOUS
HEART. She is the kind of mother whose strength isn’t loud, but steady, built in prayer, refined by trials, and anchored in faith. She rises with grace, leads with love, and stands firm even when the weight feels too heavy. Her courage doesn’t come from having it all together, but from trusting the God who holds it all together.
PRAYER: Father God, thank You for Your authoritative, inerrant, and inspired Word that gives us a clear message about the gift of motherhood and its sacred calling that reflects Your heart of love, protection, and sacrifice. We lift up every mother, especially those who carry the full weight of their household. You see our daily sacrifices, the silent tears, and the strength we find in You to rise each day and love without limits. Surround us with Your peace and remind us that You are our ever-present help. Thank You, Father, for us as mothers who lead with love, stand in faith, and trust You even when the road is hard. Bless us, Father, with renewed courage, strength, and joy.
As mothers, when we feel unseen, Father God whispers to our hearts that You are El Roi, the God who sees. When we feel weary, be the lifter of our head and the Source of our rest. Provide for our every need. Give us wisdom in our decisions, grace in our challenges, and laughter in our days. May our children rise and call us blessed. May we know deep in our souls that we are doing holy and eternal work. Help us always walk confidently, knowing that You are with us and that our labor is not in vain, in the Precious, Powerful, and Preeminent name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
