“And now these three remain Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.”
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)
February has been referred to as the “LOVE Month.” Thinking of LOVE, I am reminded of the Power of LOVE.
LOVE has dethroned tyrants and oppressors, won wars, moved empires, reduced violent men to tears.
Coming across a recent Facebook post of a story of Henry Darby, Principal at North Charleston High School who demonstrated sacrificial love for homeless teens and others in need by donating his check after working 3 nights a week at Walmart. The story is worth reading @ ABC7NY.com. My heart resonated with his demonstration of LOVE ~ giving and expecting nothing in return. This story of three children who lost both of their parents and business to COVID and many others who are in unfavorable conditions. It is only by the Grace of God – it could be any of us!
LOVE is More Excellent When Demonstrated Than Spoken.
Praise God for His LOVE, Faithfulness, Favor, and Direction in our lives. We are Grateful!
Love is a Commandment and Not an Option!
The Scriptures are replete with stores and examples of LOVE. A healthy definition of love is crucial to understanding the central message of the Bible. It reminds us of that, LOVE has nothing to do with feelings. God teaches us that LOVE is a commitment. As a commitment, Love is not dependent on good feelings, but rather on a Consistent and Courageous Decision to extend oneself for the well-being of another. This commitment produces good feelings. This cannot be accomplished without the LOVE of God!
The perfect demonstration of LOVE is when Jesus gave His life for us.
RX: A LOVING ♥️ HEART
“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8 (NLT)
As Believers in Christ, we do not have the option to Love some and not others!
FATHER GOD: Thank You for Your LOVE even when we do not deserve it. HELP us to LOVE like You by accessing the power of the Holy Spirit that allows us to Love others according to Your will. This we pray in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen
