The Heartbeat of God’s LOVE

February 14, 2021

1 Corinthians 13:13. “And now these three remain Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.” (NIV)

Today has been designated as Valentine’s Day on this Lord’s Day!  Continuing with the theme of LOVE, Again, I am reminded of the Power of LOVE.

LOVE Changes everything. Last week, the power of Human Love was shared.  If Human Love can dethrone tyrants and oppressors, win wars, move empires, reduce violent men to tears, how much more can God’s Agape change the world.

  • Working as a Nurse over the years, I am reminded how one’s life can change in a moment never to be the same again.
  • Thinking of change; there are many examples of women in the Bible who changed the world or their world.
  • Eve changed the entire world by her sin. Deborah changed her world by fighting the Lord’s battles, Rahab by her Love for God, and Ruth changed her world by her love.  The story of Ruth is a True Love Story!  Her world desperately needed changing.  Her world was an incredibly sad story until she obeyed God and traveled to Bethlehem with her mother-in-law Naomi. The end of the story helps us to remember to trust God, follow HIM, and even when we can’t see what’s ahead!

Again, LOVE Changes everything and the gifts that come from LOVE are many.

Some of Them Are:

1. forgiveness,

2. patience,

3. kindness,

4. love for truth,

5. love for justice,

6. love for integrity

7. Love for the best in a person.

LOVE does not allow for:

1. jealousy,

2. envy,

3. pride,

4. a haughty spirit,

5. selfishness,

6. rudeness,

7. demand for one’s own way, or

8. grudges.

RX: A LOVING ♥️ HEART

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8 (NLT)

Being a Christian comes with certain expectations, and one of them is that we will love others. Our Christian conduct is proof as to whether we love each other and loving each other is proof that we belong to Christ.

FATHER GOD: Thank You for Your LOVE even when we do not deserve it. HELP us Father to demonstrate the Love of Christ even when it is difficult, and we do not feel like it.  HELP us to always focus on Your Love and not on the worries of the world or our fleshy desires and motives in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen
