HELP

The Heartbeat of HELPS

January 9, 2022

“The Lord is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trust in him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.”  Psalm 28:7.  (NLT)

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”   Psalm 46:1. (NLT)

Have you ever been in a situation when you needed GOD and Only God could HELP?  Did He meet you at your point of need?  I can truly say that there has never been a time that God did not come through for me.  He is faithful to His Word. It does not matter who we are or what we have, we all need is God.  God is our Omnipotent Helper.  He has ALL Power!  He is wiser, He stronger, more loving, more of everything than we are.

There are times in this journey called life many allow the gracious blessings of God such as positional-power, financial wealth, affluence, success, who you know,  who you are married to, or and even our physical strength often BLINDS you of your Spiritual Helplessness and Need For GOD!  God is just waiting to HELP us!

Why is it so hard for us to go to God FIRST for HELP?  We are all inadequate, incapable, and even weak in some areas of our lives. We should cultivate the habit of seeking help from both God and others. We need help to move ahead and develop our skills. We often need help to get our assignments completed as well as restore relationships. Many times, we need help to say, “I’m sorry.” Only when God is in control of our wills can we accomplish great things for HIM. The first step to being God’s servant is to admit that you need His guidance and HELP, then you can begin to see what God can really do in your life.

God has given gifts to each of us and many who has the Spiritual Gift of Helps.  I can see the gifts in some of the ladies God has allowed to cross my path.  These are some of them! Wilma, my friend for over 40 years; Ruby who I worked with in “Ambassadors for Christ; my sister Margaret who will give you the shirt off her back; Imari who sacrificially reared two children she did not give birth to; and Karen and her husband Perry, whom I call the neighborhood Social Workers, as well as others!  Not having the Spiritual gift of Helps does not mean you are not to help others who are in need!

1 Peter 4:10, reminds us that,God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. (NLT)

: A HELPFUL  HEART:

Philippians 4:19-20. “And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. (NRSV) God has a full supply house and a ready supply system. It’s free for the asking, but we must ask.

FATHER GOD: Thank You for being our Helper.  In our salvation, we are all utterly helpless. You Father are the Helper of the helpless. We were all contaminated and condemned by sin and nothing we could do on our own to remedy our situation! Yet while we were still sinners, You sent Jesus who died for us and paid the penalty for our sin! We were helpless and You helped us in our sin and made us new creations! Thank You for being our Helper, in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen!
