“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20. (NKJV)

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE IS TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHOM YOU BELONG TO!
Who do you belong to? Who do you follow? Who do you consult when you need to make a major decision?
As Believers in Christ, our final authority should be the Lord Jesus Christ!
Have you had a spiritual blood transfusion? Is God your heavenly Father, your Counselor, your Source?
~ What did Paul mean when he said that our body belongs to God? When you make the decision to accept Jesus Christ as Personal Lord and Savior – giving your life to HIM, you no longer own your life. Giving your life to Christ simply means you belong to HIM. Christ purchased you with the blood of Jesus at a high price. At Salvation (surrendering your life to Jesus Christ), at that moment the Holy Spirit takes up residence in your heart and He fills you and comes to live within you. Christ’s death on the cross freed us from sin but also obligates us to His service!

If you live in a building owned by someone else, you try not to violate the building rules. Because your body belongs to God, you must not violate His standards for living.
AMAZINGLY, many people say they have the right to do whatever they want to do with their own bodies. They feel they have the right to say and do what they please to anyone. They do not feel they have to answer to anyone. Just watching the news is confirms that many people feel no matter what the situation is or who they may hurt, they can do whatever they want to do! How SAD!
RX: A SURRENDERED
HEART: Romans 12:1-2 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice, the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think and act.
Are you living for God? Does your life please God! To live for God, we must give God all that we are, represented by our body. If our bodies are at God’s disposal, He will have our free time, our pleasures, and all our behavior.
FATHER GOD: Thank You for Your sacrifice on the cross. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that convicts us when we do wrong and dishonors You, in the Precious, Powerful, and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen!
