“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:27 (ASV)

There was a minister at my church, and I loved to hear him pray. He would always end his prayer with “Thank You God for the peace that the world just don’t understand!” He just always appeared to have the Joy of the Lord and the anointing on his life was palpable.
As Believers in Christ, we have an obligation to “let the peace of God rule” in our hearts (Colossians 3:15). This means we have a choice either to trust God’s promises allowing HIS PEACE to rule in our hearts, or we can rely on ourselves for the world’s peace and reject the PEACE (inner calmness) that only Christ can give! You will never have the total PEACE from the world!
~What Does the BIBLE say about PEACE?
In the Old Testament, the primary Hebrew word for “PEACE” is shalom, and it refers to relationships between people (Genesis 34:21), nations (1 Kings 5:12), and God with men (Psalm 85:8).
In the New Testament, the primary Greek word for “PEACE” is eirene, and it refers to rest and tranquility.
PEACE is fruit of the Spirit; allowing the Spirit of God to rule in your lives, you will experience His PEACE. (Galatians 5:22-23)
Being spiritually minded brings life and PEACE, (Romans 8:6).
If your life is full of stress, causing you to be filled with unrest and complaints allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with the PEACE of God! Remember, all unrest and complaints are ultimately against God and is sin! (Philippians 4:6-7)
If you harbor feelings of revenge in your heart, you cannot be at peace with others or God.
How Can We Experience PEACE from God?
- Work hard at living in peace with others. Turn away from anger, bitterness and unforgiveness and do good! (Psalm 34:14)
- Trust God with your life and your problems and keep your eyes on Jesus! (Isaiah 26:3)
- Live your life for God and allow the Holy Spirit to control your thoughts and actions. When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit of peace in our lives. (Galatians 5:22)
- God will keep you in perfect peace! God’s PEACE comes when you trust HIM with all your problems and when you keep your thoughts fixed on Him and you will not stumble. (Psalm 119:165)
- God’s peace comes when our lives please HIM, love His Word, and when we cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. (Luke 2:14)
RX: A PEACEFUL♥️ HEART
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” Romans 8:28.
Real PEACE is resting totally in the Sovereignty of God. The end result of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives is deep and lasting peace. With the PEACE of God, we have no need to fear the present or the future. Unlike worldly peace, which is usually defined as the absence of conflict. The PEACE of God is a confident assurance in any circumstance.
FATHER GOD, Thank You for Your PEACE! Help us to always live in such in such a way to always have access to Your PEACE that the world just don’t understand and cannot take away, in the Precious, Powerful and Preeminent Name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Amen
